Funders

The Idaho Community Foundation (ICF)  is the coordinator of endowed and sponsored scholarship funds for the Idaho CTE Foundation. Without ICF’s continued professional management of these funds, our scholarships could not be possible. 
 
Neptune Lynch IX, and his wife May Ellen Lynch. In January, 2023 Mr. and Mrs. Lynch created a $3.5M charitable giving fund with the ICF, which provides $45,000 – $60,000 per year to the Idaho CTE Foundation for three of our scholarships: Merit Scholarship, Anne Veseth Memorial Continuing Education, and Neptune Lynch IX.
 
C.K. Hahn in  September of 2013, created a $50,000 charitable giving fund with the ICTEF, which currently provides funding for the Tools for the Trades scholarship.

Limitations

(1) No applicant can be awarded a scholarship from both of our major donors in one year. An applicant CAN be awarded different scholarships in different years.

(2) Applicants who place high enough to be eligible for award of two scholarships in one year will be awarded the scholarship with the higher dollar amount.

Merit Scholarship

The $1,300 Merit scholarship was established to help towards expenses for student travel to national competitions. To be eligible for this scholarship, it must be the students first time attending a national competition.
Please note: Two scholarships will be awarded at both the secondary and postsecondary level for each Career Technical Student Organization.

Tools for the Trade

The Tools of the Trade $1,000 scholarship was established to provide funding for Idaho students pursuing certificates or degrees in career and technical education programs at Idaho technical colleges. The intent of this scholarship is to offset the costs of purchasing required equipment/tools/software as determined by the specific program selected by the student.
Please note: Any student who plans to enroll in an approved career technical education program at the postsecondary level that requires occupational tools/equipment/software is eligible for this scholarship.

Anne Veseth Memorial Continuing Education

The $2,500 Anne Veseth Continuing Post Secondary Memorial Scholarship was established to encourage Idaho students pursuing certificates or degrees in career and technical education at Idaho technical colleges. This competitive scholarship is available to students who are currently enrolled in an approved Idaho Career Technical Education program at the postsecondary level.
Please note: Students who are graduating from high school diploma program during the 2024-2025 school year are not eligible to apply for this scholarship.

Neptune Lynch IX first year postsecondary scholarship

The $2,500 Neptune Lynch IX First Year Post Secondary Scholarship was established to encourage Idaho students pursing first certificates or degrees in career and technical education at Idaho technical colleges.
Please note: This competitive scholarship is available to students who plan to enroll in an approved Idaho Career Technical Education program at the postsecondary level for the first time after completing a high school diploma program.
